Last updated May 7, 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Studying Citizen website and any related content (the Service). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Not affiliated with USCIS

Studying Citizen is an independent, unofficial study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or any other U.S. government agency. The civics test questions and bullet-point answers are reproduced from the publicly available USCIS document M-1778 (09/25), "128 Civics Questions and Answers (2025 version)."

For the official test, official study materials, and the latest information about the naturalization civics test, please refer to uscis.gov/citizenship.

Not legal or immigration advice

Nothing on this website is legal advice, immigration advice, or a substitute for professional advice. Your performance on this practice tool has no bearing on your real naturalization application. If you need help with your application, please consult a licensed U.S. immigration attorney or an accredited representative of a Department of Justice-recognized organization.

No guarantee of accuracy or currency

We make a good-faith effort to keep the question pool accurate and the state-specific and current-officeholder data up to date as of the "as of" date shown on the site. However:

  • Officeholders (President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Chief Justice, governors, senators) change with elections and appointments.
  • USCIS may update the question pool, the test format, or specific answers without notice.
  • The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Always confirm answers that depend on current officials at uscis.gov/citizenship/testupdates before your interview.
