Privacy Policy

Last updated May 7, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how Studying Citizen ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use this website (the Service). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Plain-language summary

  • We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
  • We do not store your quiz answers, results, or the state you select.
  • Your practice session lives entirely in your browser's memory while you use it.
  • We do not sell or share personal information.

Information we collect

Information you provide. Studying Citizen has no signup, no account, and no contact form. The only inputs you provide are the practice-test settings you choose on the landing page (state or territory, age bracket, years as a lawful permanent resident). These values are passed to the practice test via your browser's URL and exist only for the duration of your session — we do not store them on a server.

Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically receive standard request information (such as IP address, browser type, and the page you requested) for the purpose of operating, securing, and analyzing the site. We retain these logs only as long as necessary for those purposes.

Cookies and analytics. Studying Citizen does not require cookies for its core functionality. If we add lightweight analytics or essential cookies in the future, we will update this page and the Cookies notice.

How we use information

We use information solely to:

  • Operate and secure the website
  • Diagnose and fix issues
  • Understand which parts of the practice tool are working

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Children

The Service is intended for adults preparing for the U.S. naturalization civics test. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because we do not maintain accounts or store quiz data, there is generally nothing for us to delete on your behalf. You can clear your browser's history or cache at any time to remove any local data your browser may have cached.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
